Two drivers were injured this morning after their vehicles collided outside a cricket club.

A silver Kia saloon and a white Ford van collided front-on along the A280 Long Furlong road in Findon just after 8.30am today.

A 48-year old Findon man, driving the van, was taken to Worthing Hospital to be treated for serious hand and wrist injuries.

A 40-year-old Worthing man driving the Kia was treated at the scene for minor injuries.

One fire crew from Worthing was dispatched and mopped up oil spilt on the road using an environmental agency pack and some sand.

The accident closed the road both ways between the A24 Findon bypass and Longfurlong Lane.
