A DRIVER had corrosive liquid thrown in his face by a pedestrian who flagged him down on the road.
Police said there was an exchange of words between the pair before the pedestrian threw a cup of liquid in the man’s face before running off.
The victim sustained minor injuries in the attack at about 11pm in Langney Road, Eastbourne, close to Bonner’s Music store, on Tuesday January 20.
The pedestrian is described as being a white male, 20 to 25 years of age, stocky build and between 5' 8" and 6'. He was wearing a dark, bandana-style hat and a dark jacket.
Police would like to hear from anyone who was in the area at the time, especially two men who were standing on the pavement close by.
