LAST week it was Chelsea whose fans were accused of racist chanting – this week it is Brighton and Hove Albion, after a 22-year-old was arrested.
Both clubs have acted decisively following revelations that fans have been involved.
What is concerning is that these types of situations still rear their ugly head in 2015.
All too often the football community believes that those dark days are behind the sport.
And with the good work of anti-racism groups like Kick It Out and the support of clubs up and down the country, it’s easy to believe that we are on top of the problem.
But every now and then, like we saw in Paris last week with a minority of Chelsea fans, something happens to remind us that there is still plenty of educating to do.
