THIS group of young singers are looking to hit their notes when they take centre stage for the Mayor’s Variety Performance.
The budding artists from the Brighton School of Singing are preparing for two performances at the Brighton Centre event on Saturday.
Among the numbers they will sing, include an acapella version of Valentine by Jessie Ware.
Musical director Gary Whalen said it was an honour to be asked to perform.
He said: “Rehearsals have been going really well and now we’re really looking forward to it.
“It’ll be a bit different this year because it’s at the Brighton Centre and not at Hove Town Hall, and it’ll be made that little bit more special because it’s the Mayor’s birthday.
“It’s always good to be invited back to do this event.”
