Police bosses will be answering questions from the public in a series of public discussions touring the county.

Police and Crime Commissioner Katy Bourne, Chief Constable Giles York and West Sussex Divisional Commander Steve Whitton will be answering questions in Chichester on April 1.

Mr York said the event will give “local residents an opportunity to ask questions on current issues or concerns they have, share ideas and generally help to shape our thinking about local, community policing”.

Mr Whitton, who is taking over as divisional commander from retiring Chief Superintendent Martin Walker, said he was “looking forward” to meeting West Sussex residents and listening to their ideas and concerns.

He will be joined by his deputy superintendent Jane Derrick and Inspector Will Rolls. The event is the third in Mrs Bourne’s ‘community conversations’ evenings around Sussex.

The meeting will be held at the Chichester Assembly Rooms, The Council House, North Street, Chichester on Wednesday, April 1, from 6.30pm to 8pm. Doors will open at 6pm.
