A FINANCE giant has been named as a key partner of Brighton Pride.
American Express, the city’s largest private sector employer, is the gold partner of this year’s event, which takes place on August 1 and 2.
Marking its 25th anniversary, the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender community event has become the UK’s biggest Pride festival.
American Express is entering a float in the Pride Parade and employees will get into the carnival spirit and line the route with family and friends.
Mike Whyte, vice president of Merchant Services American Express, said: “We are immensely proud to be continuing our partnership with Brighton Pride and we are looking forward to celebrating their 25 years of incredible work, raising awareness and funds for the LGBT community.”
Paul Kemp of Brighton Pride said: “We are delighted that American Express is again on board.
“Support from partners is crucial to delivering what has become one of our city’s most lively and best-attended events.”
