TODAY is the final day to vote for your favourite new names for the latest members of the Brighton and Hove Bus Company fleet.

The company has selected fifteen names from over one hundred submissions which will be announced at a later stage.

For the final nine names, four shortlists have been prepared which Brighton & Hove Buses would like to put to the public vote.

The main criterion for the competition and shortlisting was that the person had to have made a significant contribution to the area or had a strong connection during their lifetime and has been deceased for at least a year.

Managing Director Martin Harris said: "We really value our links with the communities we serve and as the naming of our existing fleet has proved so popular since we first introduced it in the City in 1999, we thought that the arrival of our new buses marked an ideal time to open up the opportunity to honour local people along the scenic Coaster route".
