Would-be robbers fled empty handed when their victim fought back after being attacked from behind.

The 20-year-old Bexhill man was attacked as he walked home from work in Church Street, Old Town, at 11.38pm on Saturday, March 21.

The suspects hit him on the head and tried to snatch his bag – but left empty handed when the man fought back.

The first suspect is described as a man of mixed ethnic appearance, mid 20s, 5'10", and of slight build. He was wearing a blue Jack Wills hooded top with a green motif, dark blue jeans, black trainers with white trim and also a black snood covering his nose and mouth.

The second suspect was a black man, also mid 20s, 5'8"-5'9", and of skinny build. He had a black untrimmed beard and was wearing a black woolly hat, a dark coloured bomber jacket and camouflage-pattern trousers.
