A car smashed into a bollard near a busy shopping street.
The driver of the car was unhurt in the crash, in Portland Street - next to the junction with North Street, just after 2pm today.
A spokesman for Sussex Police said: "A car collided with a bollard in Portland St, Brighton just after 2pm on Tuesday (24 March). The man driving the car who was the sole occupant was unhurt. No other vehicle or person was involved. Fire service and council have attended to deal with some petrol leaking from the vehicle.
