A TEENAGE girl was attacked and robbed in a park.

The 16-year-old was in a play park in St John’s Road, St Leonards, at 7pm on Thursday, March 19, with friends when another girl approached her, punching her in the face and stomach.

The attacker, whose hood partially covered her face, grabbed the victim’s HTC 310 phone and ran off with a group of boys. The phone had a black front and a white back.

Detective Constable Paul Wren said: "The victim suffered cuts and bruises but has been left very shaken by this vicious, unprovoked attack. We need to speak to anyone who saw the attack or the group running away after wards.”
