THE former Rangers player began on the books at Chelsea but made his mark at Dundee. He was sold to St Johnstone in 1994 before winning a move to Aberdeen. His career then took him to Dundee United and he was bought by Dick Advocaat for Rangers for £1.3million in 1999. What's your best moment with the club?

When I signed for Rangers was probably the best, because it was my ambition to play for such a big club - although I could have ended up at Celtic. And your worst?

Getting relegated twice in one season, with Dundee and St Johnstone. Dundee accepted they were down and sold me to Saints, who then got relegated by a single goal. But I got my move to Aberdeen after that. Name your favourite away ground?

Tynecastle was my favourite ground for the atmosphere. I always seemed to do well there. Who has been the best player at your club over the years?

Barry Ferguson has got everything and we used to play every move through him. Craig Moore is one of the best defenders I've ever played with. What is your favourite goal of all time?

One I scored for Scotland against Bosnia in a European qualifier in 1999. It was 1-1 and I picked up the ball about 50 yards out and went past one guy, and everyone started backing off me so I went past another and - I don't know if it just sat up nicely - I hit it perfectly from 20 yards out into the top corner. Who was your most influential manager?

Paul Sturrock got the best out of me - he knew how to handle me. What is your favourite piece of club memorabilia?

I've got a few medals but my favourite is my SPL winner's gong from Rangers, and also my first Scotland cap which I keep in my pool room. Which is your club's favourite kit?

The Rangers one from when I first went there was just a plain Nike one and I like simple kits like that. Who is the greatest Scottish player of all time?

Kenny Dalglish was my kind of player. What one thing would you change about Scottish football?

If you could get more money into the game - not at the top end, but for honest, hard-working footballers out there, who are not making enough from the game and some of them deserve more.
