I wonder how much money Simon Fanshawe and the business community hope to make from the King Alfred development (The Argus, March 21) and what will be the true cost to local taxpayers for this supposedly free sports centre ?

Nick Lomax's scheme would deliver a cheaper and more environmentally friendly scheme. As he lives in Brighton, he is more in tune with our city, unlike Mr Gehry, who seems to have lost interest in Hove and is now trying to push a similarly unpopular development in Manhattan.
