Since I came to Sussex in 2005, I have felt really down a lot of the time. I had a miscarriage last year and then my mother died at Christmas. Both of these events have made me quite depressed.
I am sleeping badly and sometimes feel a bit suicidal. I wondered about going to the doctor - but my husband says it's silly to bother a GP with trivial things such as a bit of depression.
I reckon your husband's attitude is absolutely unbelievable. Of course you should go to the doc for help - preferably today or tomorrow. She certainly won't regard your depression as "silly". You would also find it useful to contact the Miscarriage Association at www.miscarriageassociation.org.uk.
