A MAN, a woman and a Labrador dog had to be released by firefighters after a car crash.

Two vehicles collided at the Bewbush Manor Roundabout near Crawley at about 12.30pm on Saturday.

Firefighters used hydraulic rescue gear to free the occupants, with the people going to hospital and the dog left in the care of police.

The accident was one of several over the Easter weekend.

On Sunday afternoon, a car containing three youth ended up in a ditch in Crooked Lane, Birdham, near Chichester.

All three escaped before the emergency services arrived.

Then, yesterday morning, two cars collided on the A264 Wickhurst Lane in Broadbridge Heath.

One man was trapped and had to be released by firefighters before going to hospital by ambulance.
