Have you noticed how much envy and animosity is continually directed towards blue badge disabled parking holders, especially in the light of new parking regulations?
In the community in which I live, myself and several of my neighbours have been accused of not being disabled.
We have been judged by lay persons to be malingerers and blue badge cheats.
These individuals, as well as other blue badge holders, have no medical qualifications, so how can they possibly decide anyone's eligibility for a blue badge? They can't and have no right to claim do so.
Blue badges are not handed out without a stringent assessment by either a doctor or a social worker.
If people feel they are entitled to a badge, why don't they apply for one instead of making life difficult for someone who is already distressed as a result of their disability?
