Three people were taken to hospital last night with suspected carbon monoxide poisoning after a gas leak at a Brighton property.
East Sussex Fire and Rescue along with the ambulance service and gas board were called to the property in New England Street yesterday evening at 9.15pm.
There was a gas leak in the property and three people were taken to hospital with suspected carbon monoxide poisoning.
Fire crews used breathing apparatus to enter the building and ventilate the property.
Carbon monoxide is a colorless, odorless, and tasteless gas that is toxic to humans when encountered in high concentrations.
There are approximately 400 admissions to hospital with Carbon Monoxide poisoning in England each year.
