Rescue teams were called to two separate emergency incidents in Brighton yesterday (Saturday).
In the first, at about 3pm, Shoreham Coastguard was called to reports of a casualty who had fallen from a high wall onto the beach near the Palace Pier.
Together with ambulance crew and Sussex Police, the person was put onto a stretcher and taken to hospital for further treatment.
In the second incident at about 9pm, a man was rescued from the water in Brighton Marina after having difficulty in a canoe.
His condition is not yet known.
