On Sunday, March 25, I attended a choral event on Brighton seafront to mark the abolition of slavery bicentenary.
A number of local choirs performed songs to an audience largely comprised of passers-by on the seafront.
The choirs were enjoyable because they were local, downto- earth people who gave moving performances.
Those who attended clearly understood the significance of the event and were supportive of the message of abolition.
