A MAN may be staying with a family member to avoid arrest after an attack victim was left with lifelong scarring to his face.
Detectives want to trace 21-year-old Phineus Ambrose Float who is sought for interview over a serious assault in Hastings.
At about 3am on March 14 a 28-year old local man was a customer in Club XS in Prospect Place, when he was involved in a confrontation which resulted in his sustaining serious facial injuries.
Detective Constable Ian Dearling said "This was a nasty assault in which the victim received a number of lacerations to his face, resulting in lifelong scarring.”
Detectives believe he is aware people to talk with him and he may be staying with a family member or friend to avoid arrest.
Float was believed until recently to be living in Hastings but has connections with Brighton and with Hull on Humberside. He is 6' and of medium build.
Anyone with information should contact Sussex or Humberside Police on 101 quoting reference 159 of 14/3.
