A TEENAGE motorcycle rider is seriously ill in hospital after a crash which left him trapped beneath a minibus.
The 19-year-old rider of the yellow Honda CBR 125, from Steyning, was airlifted to St George's Hospital in London with multiple injuries after he was released from under a Mercedes Sprinter minibus at the junction of the A24 and Allendale Avenue, Worthing.
The driver of the minibus, a 61-year-old man from Arundel, suffered minor injuries.
Emergency services were called to the scene at 3.58pm. The road was closed for just over two hours as rescue and recovery work took place, along with evidence gathering for the investigation into the incident.
