DOZENS of cyclists got into gear for an epic charity ride for The Argus Appeal on Saturday.
The intrepid bunch pedalled all the way from Richmond Park, London, to Shoreham – a distance of 75 miles.
More than 50 completed the full distance with others joining along the route which went through the Surrey and Sussex countryside.
Elsa Gillio, from the Argus Appeal, said: “Compared to the weather we had on Friday and then on Sunday we were incredibly lucky.
“We had a great day with more than 145 taking to their bikes and although we haven’t got the final figure, we hope to have raised several thousand pounds.
“We had great support from a lot of our regulars and it was fantastic to see some new faces as well.”
