TENORS and altos were in perfect harmony for a tenth anniversary celebration concert.
The Sussex Harmonisers celebrated the milestone with a show at St John’s Church in Burgess Hill featuring The Royal Harmonics from Windsor and Coastline Harmony Chorus from Southwick.
All three of these choruses sing unaccompanied in barbershop style and The Royal Harmonics were voted one of the best choruses in the country after coming fifth in the national competition organised by the British Association of Barbershop Singers.
The large audience were treated to a selection of songs from their repertoire under the direction of musical director Zoe Peate and highlights included I Wish You Love and The Sweetheart Tree.
Tony Pelling, who founded the Sussex Harmonisers in 2005, conducted the group for If I give My Heart to You.
The next major concert organised by the Harmonisers will be at Clair Hall in Haywards Heath on December 11.
