A BUS was stopped after a dog hopped on for a free ride.
The 9.35am departure of the Brighton and Hove Buses number 6 service from Brighton Station to Sainsbury's was cancelled after the additional passenger boarded.
Bus staff originally thought the dog was stray but later established it was missing.
They took a picture of the dog and sent it out in a Twitter appeal. Later the company posted: "The dog was chipped and is being reunited with its owner. This tail had a happy ending."
