Residents are being asked for their views on the redesign of a busy shopping street.

Work is almost complete in North Street, Chichester, and advice is being sought on what paving materials, signs and benches should be used to add the finishing touches.

The revamp is a joint project between West Sussex County Council, Chichester District Council and Chichester City Council.

Councillor Tex Pemberton, county council cabinet member for highways, said: "Residents are quite rightly very interested in what Chichester will look like in the future.

"It is vitally important that all elements of street scene complement each other and fit in with the historic city centre.

"This is a chance for the public to have their say on key street scene features."

A leaflet is available from the Chichester Help Point, or the district and city council offices.
