A cyclist was left in a critical condition after a collision with a van.
The accident happened just after midday on the A281 between Henfield and Cowfold on Saturday.
Police said the cyclist was airlifted to hospital with serious injuries.
Officers closed the road for more than two hours to carry out investigations into the circumstances.
