A SLIMMER who lost seven stone in a bid to become healthier will run 5k for charity.
Self-confessed coach potato Joel Bissitt weighed 20 stone just two years ago – but now looks “10 years younger” after running four times a week and shedding the pounds.
Mr Bissitt, 44, from Seaford, will raise vital funds for the MS Society on Saturday when he dons his running shoes and tackles the Big Fun Run in Hove Park.
Joel, who now weighs around 13 stone, said: “My wife Sarah was diagnosed with MS three years ago. It was a massive blow to our young family and we had some low times during this period.
“But we had amazing support from the MS Society. I wanted to do something to support them – hence the fun run.
“When my wife was diagnosed I had a light bulb moment and really felt that, with my wife’s health in mind, I needed to work on my fitness.
"Anyone that has known me for a long time would never have thought I would be able to run let alone enter this event. That's why I’d love it if as many people as possible could support my fundraising effort by kindly donating at my Justgiving page.”
