A MAN has been found guilty of sexually assaulting a six-year-old girl.
Samuel James Day, 32, of no fixed address, was convicted following a seven day trial at Hove Crown Court on Tuesday.
He has been remanded in custody to await sentencing on 28 August.
Day had denied two counts of sexually assaulting his young victim by touching and a breach of his Sexual Offences Prevention Order, issued to him in June last year.
After hearing evidence, a jury convicted him of all the offences.
He had previously admitted a further breach of the prevention order, and possession of indecent images of children.
