A THREE-CAR crash blocked part of the A23 earlier today.
Police were called at 11am after three vehicles collided on the road southbound near Hickstead.
The collision happened between the A272 and A2300 junctions and led to two lanes of the carriageway being blocked.
The Highways Agency was contacted as oil had leaked on to the road surface.
There were no major injuries in the crash but there delays while emergency services tended to the scene.
The road re-opened at 12.35pm.
