A FILM star’s Batman suit has been unveiled at a museum.
The outfit worn by Christian Bale in The Dark Knight Rises is on show at Brighton Museum and Art Gallery.
The armoured black bat suit will be on show as part of The Costume Games, a five day festival with a Japanese flavour celebrating costumed characters – running to celebrate the first weekend of the Rugby World Cup.
The redesigned bat suit is different to previous versions as the Caped Crusader is able to turn his head in it.
The first ever bat suit on film was a grey-looking cloth costume in early TV serials.
It was redesigned when Adam West took up the mantel in the 1960s and the all-black costume of moulded rubber now gives the character a more serious edge.
The Dark Knight Rises bat suit will be on show in the fashion and style gallery at Brighton Museum from today (August 18) until September 20.
