ONE of the world’s most famous trophies arrived in Brighton and Hove to celebrate the start of the Rugby World Cup later this month.
The Webb Ellis trophy was on show at Brighton Museum in Pavilion Gardens and at the Yellowave Beach Sports Centre in Madeira Drive.
At the museum people were also able to view and handle artefacts from the countries which will be playing at the American Express Community Stadium in Brighton as part of the competition – South Africa, Japan, Samoa and the US.
Local rugby players also enjoyed a friendly game of beach rugby at Yellowave during the afternoon.
