A BUDDING Romeo who met the love of his life on Tinder enlisted the help of a flash mob to propose to his girlfriend.

Nick Rewcastle and Hannah Dickens are engaged after they fell completely in love when they met on the smartphone dating app a year ago.

Mr Rewcastle moved from Southampton to Brighton to be with Miss Dickens, a pharmacy dispenser at Boots in Hove.

They even volunteer together at the Sussex Search and Rescue to help find missing vulnerable people.

To mark their anniversary Mr Rewcastle spent months secretly arranging a special way to ask for her hand in marriage.

He approached Brighton Dance Flash Mob and a professional photographer friend to help him with the display on Brighton seafront.

He asked 21-year-old Miss Dickens to dress up and took her to their favourite spot on the promenade under the ruse they were helping their friend with a photo shoot.

Only moments later they were greeted by a handful of graceful dancers before balloons with 'Will you marry me?' appeared and Mr Rewcastle, 23, got down on one knee.

Amid the tears, smiles and confusion, Miss Dickens realised what was happening and said yes.

She said: "I knew something was up but I wasn't sure what.

"Suddenly this music started playing and these dancers appeared. I was thinking 'What's going on?'

"One of them came and put a microphone on Nick and I got really confused. Then our song - Thinking Out Loud by Ed Sheeran - came on and I thought 'He wouldn't do it here would he?' Then I couldn't stop crying.

"I look back and wonder how I didn't realise what was going on - quite a few people kept it quiet. It made me feel very special that someone had gone to so much effort.

"I suffer with chronic pain and nerve damage in my face that has left me with a constant migraine-type pain. Nick fully understands me as he has chronic back pain and as a couple we seem to know when each other is in pain and we deal with it.

"Most other guys would have done a runner but he made me realise I could deal with my face pain without using medication, just by using strength and support from him. So to say I'm the luckiest girl in the world is an understatement."

Mr Rewcastle, who works at a sports PR agency in Hove, said: "I'd seen the flash mob before and thought that would be a really cool way to propose. I got in touch with them in May and went from there. I wasn't sure if I was going to pull it off but it was perfect and she said yes."

They have already booked their wedding for August 27 next year.
