A BREAST cancer roadshow is stopping off in Sussex to help raise awareness of the signs and symptoms of the disease.
The mobile service, funded by Breast Cancer Care and the Football Association, will be at Hove Lawns today and Jubilee Square in Brighton on Monday and Tuesday.
Knowing what warning signs to look for can lead to earlier detection of breast cancer, which is crucial in providing more effective treatment.
About 42,000 people are diagnosed with breast cancer in England ever year, the equivalent of more than 100 a day.
Breast Cancer Care staff and trained volunteers will be on hand to provide information and signpost support services.
Head of breast awareness and early detection at Breast Cancer Care, Davinia Green, said: “People can visit our bus to ask questions about breast cancer and find out more about the signs and symptoms.
“All information and support is free and confidential, and there’s no need to make an appointment.”
The team will be available between 10am and 4pm each day.
