Car stolen after thief gets into house through unlocked back door for keys
A BLACK car was stolen after the thief broke into a house and took the keys.
The Volvo V50 was taken from Waterdyke Avenue in Southwick last Sunday.
At some point between midnight and 7.30am, a house in The Green was broken into and the car keys, a handbag and a pot full of change were taken.
It is believed the suspect got in through the back door, which was left unlocked.
Detective Constable Emma Fields said: "I would urge anybody to make sure doors and windows are always left secure, even when you're at home."
