THESE buoys and girls have been asked to get them out for a shout in aid of a charity calendar.

The crew of Brighton lifeboat have done away with their kit and posed naked for a charity calendar.

Some of the volunteer crew from Brighton bared all for the shots which shows them completing their day to day tasks around the station.

The crew, who volunteer for the RNLI, can be seen in and around their Atlantic 85 lifeboat wearing only their lifejackets and the iconic yellow wellington boots.

Jade Cohen, a crew member Brighton lifeboat station, came up with the idea to raise money for the RNLI in a unique and different way to other fundraising ideas the charity have used.

“It was quite tricky at times,” she said.

“There were quite a few shots being taken to ensure everything was covered up. The crew had a great time shooting this and we are really hoping it is a success with our supporters.

“We were lucky enough to find a locally based photographer Kris James, who was generous enough to take and edit the photographs for free, for which we are very grateful.

“We have already had a lot of support behind the calendar, with all the profits made going straight back into the RNLI.”

The calendars are on sale for £10.00 and can be brought by the stations website www.rnlibrighton.org.uk.

It’s not the first time a saucy calendar has made the pages of The Argus.

Last year, the University of Sussex’s Women’s Rugby team ditched the scrums and bared their bottoms around the city to produce a glossy calendar.

The profits went go to the Tag Rugby Trust, and those who took part were hoping to raise enough money to travel to Uganda to carry out aid work all through the sport of rugby.

Anna Clarke, 19, who is co-captain of the squad and is a second year business and management student organised the calendar after being sent a similar example from the University of Edinburgh.
