A sink hole has appeared in a road under a railway bridge.
Braybrooke Road in Hastings was closed by Sussex Police between Priory Avenue and Braybrooke Terrace this morning.
East Sussex County Council's highways department is now looking into it.
A police spokesman said: "We were made aware of reports of a hole in the road, measuring approximately 2’ wide and 3’ deep, in Braybrooke Road, Hastings, at 11.49am on Friday (December 4).
“The incident was left with the local highways authority.”
