LADY Colin Campbell raised concerns about bullying "several times a day" with producers of I'm A Celebrity ... Get Me Out Of Here! and even threatened legal action, it has been revealed.

The controversial camper, dubbed Lady C, left ''on medical grounds'' just four days before the final, claiming that if she had stayed there would have been "serious repercussions on my emotional health".

She clashed with Dragons' Den star Duncan Bannatyne, Spandau Ballet singer Tony Hadley and presenter Yvette Fielding throughout the show.

She has since accused them of bullying, arguing the experience took her back to her "childhood trauma".

It was thought she would loose some of her £70,000 fee for leaving the show early.

However, she told a national newspaper that ITV bosses allowed her the full amount after she threatened legal action.

She said the cash would be used for repairs to the 19th century Castle Goring near Worthing.

The 66-year-old was revealed last month as the new owner of the building and said she only went on the reality show to pay for repairs.

It is believed she plans to turn it into a wedding venue.

Lady Campbell told a national newspaper: "I visited producers to complain about the bullying.

“I don't know how often - several times a day. In the end I pointed out that I was going to take steps. I realised that the button to press was legal, and my goodness did it work.

"I meant it and they knew I meant it. I don't speak out of the orifice upon which I'm sitting. My name is not Tony, it's not Duncan, and it's certainly not Yvette.

"I knew that this was making great television but I had not signed up to be bullied. I won't tolerate bullying in any shape or form, nor will I allow anyone to take advantage of me. I never have and I never will."

Reflecting on her childhood, she said: "I was brought up a boy in Jamaica, and was bullied right through my childhood.

"I was defenceless then and couldn't answer back. I suffered so much that I swore no one would ever bully me again."

Speaking about her reasons for going into the jungle, she told the newspaper: "I didn't go into the jungle to win. I wanted to be the first one voted out. I just wanted the fee to go towards the restoration of Castle Goring.

"I also wanted to lose the 17lbs I've been trying to lose for the past 20 years. I only ended up losing eight and I'm very disappointed."

In response Bannatyne tweeted: "Tony Hadley and I will continue to rise above, remain dignified and not respond to the disgusting comments in her story."
