Arsonists are believed to be responsible for a fire which broke out at the back of a Chinese restaurant.
Firefighters were called to the premises in London Road, East Grinstead, at around 4.50am today to find a storage area and garage well alight.
The blaze was put out within an hour but the single-storey unit was destroyed.
Crews from East Grinstead, Turners Hill and Crawley were brought in to tackle the fire.
The blaze is being treated as suspicious and investigations are continuing today.
