How sad that yet another business in Blatchington Road, Hove, is closing down (The Argus, May 15).
Lyon's Textile curtain shop is closing due to retirement and Vokins is also having a closing down sale.
What is happening to a oncevibrant main shopping area? I remember little grocery shops, a book shop, a pie shop, shoeshops, butchers and a mens outfitter's which had a pole in the centre of its doorway which was fun to spin round. The road is dying due to the greed of the parking situation.
