A YOUNG man who has been missing since Sunday could be in Sussex.

Ciaran Pearson was last seen at his home on Sunday in Monkston, Milton Keynes, at around 4pm. The 23-year-old is thought to have been spotted in Beachy Head, on Monday at 5.30pm and may have been seen in East Dean.

He is white, 5ft 10in tall, of medium build, with brown wavy shoulder-length hair, and, since this picture was taken, has a full beard. He is thought to have been wearing a black hooded waterproof Sprayway jacket with a logo on the chest, black-and-white trainers, and jeans, police said.

Investigating officer inspector Lee Brace, of Thames Valley Police, said: "We are very concerned for Ciaran's welfare and would urge anyone with information or someone who might have spotted him to come forward.

"We believe he could be in the Eastbourne area or near Beachy Head."

Anyone with information should call Thames Valley Police on 101, quoting 1027 18/1.

UPDATE, January 22 7.40am: Police said he was found safe and well yesterday.
