A WOMAN has been flown to a hospital in London after her car collided with the central reservation on a motorway.
The M23 was closed both ways for the air ambulance to land near the 10A junction of the M23 near Crawley.
A Sussex Police spokeswoman said: "Emergency services called to a report of a car hitting the central reservation southbound at junction 10A M23 Maidenbower, Crawley, at 11.35am on Thursday.
"The road was closed southbound and northbound for the air ambulance to land after the woman driver suffered serious injuries.
"She has been flown to St George's Hospital in London.
"One lane southbound on the M23 has now re-opened and the northbound lane is open with traffic moving slowly."
