COUPLES will be able to say I do at the i360 from September.

The 162 metre tourist attraction has brought forward the first date of its first marriage due to popular demand.

The team at the British Airways i360 had been planning to begin weddings in February 2017 but have brought that date forward and already have couples signed up.

As well as going sky high for their vows, couples can also tie the knot in the heritage 1866 West Pier Toll Booth or the beachside event space with private terraces overlooking the sea.

The £46 million attraction can accommodate wedding parties of 38 people up to larger ceremonies of up to 202 people.

Couples will benefit from the help of a dedicated wedding planner and can mark their first anniversary with a complimentary “Champagne flight” back up the tower.

Wedding parties can enjoy menus using the “finest local ingredients” from the South Downs and Sussex potentially served up by Josh Stanzl and MasterChef winner Steven Edwards or plump for the more informal BBQ and bowl food option.

Wedding reception packages start at £70 per person for the Beach Party Package rising to £150 per person for the Sussex Finest.

The 30-person 1866 West Pier Toll Booth can be hired from £500, beachside rooms of up to 110 capacity will cost from £500 and the venue’s iconic glass pod, which hosts up to 198, starts from £3,000.

Eleanor Harris, CEO of British Airways i360, said: “Working with the wonderful Trevor Love, superintendent registrar at Brighton and Hove Register Office, we are looking forward to welcoming couples who wish to hold their civil partnerships and same sex marriages in our amazing new venue on Brighton Beach”.

“Originally we intended to take wedding bookings from February 2017, but due to popular demand, we have brought this forward so that our first ceremonies will start from September 2016 and we have already got couples booked.”
