HUNDREDS of residents have signed a petition opposing plans to cut a fire engine from the city.
More than 500 signatures have been added to a petition calling on East Sussex Fire Authority members not to remove a fire engine from Hove Fire Station.
The petition organised by the Fire Brigades Union warns that £7.1 million of cuts could potentially leave just 16 firefighters protecting the city.
