AN unemployed 54-year-old has been jailed for making nearly 250 indecent images of children.
Graham Baillie of Willingdon Rd, Eastbourne, appeared at Hove Crown Court on Friday, January 29 and pleaded guilty to making 249 indecent images of children.
He was sentenced to 12 months imprisonment, was made a registered sexual offender for ten years, and was given a Sexual Harm Prevention Order (SHPO) for ten years severely restricting his access to computers.
The prosecution resulted from an intelligence-led investigation by the Paedophile On-Line Investigation Unit (POLIT) of Sussex Police.
None of the images were believed to be of local children and there was no evidence of any 'contact' offending.
