A MAN has been killed in a single vehicle road accident while driving along a rural country road.
The 28-year-old from London was in his red Ford Mondeo on the A285 when it left the road at Upwaltham and ended up overturned in a field.
It happened at around 3.30am today (Monday, February 15).
The road links Chichester and Midhurst and the crash occurred close to its junction with Droke Lane.
The accident closed the road until 1.45pm while the scene was investigated.
The man, who was the sole occupant of the vehicle, died at the scene.
Witnesses are asked to email collision.appeal@sussex.pnn.police.uk or call 101, quoting Operation Papworth.
Sussex Police say the coroner for West Sussex has been informed.
