A teenager with cancer who shared her fight against the disease in a series of video blogs has died. Charlotte Eades, 19, passed away yesterday at the Royal Sussex County Hospital in Brighton after suffering from an inoperable brain cancer. The news was shared on her blog in a poignant final message posted by her mother and brother.

It was called “Thank you all - 1997-2016”.

Charlotte’s mother said: “It is with regret that this will be the last YouTube video for Charlotte. “We are hoping that this will be a legacy left by Charlotte.” Charlotte, from Brighton, was diagnosed with an inoperable brain tumour in 2013 and undergwent chemotherapy and radiotherapy.

This shrunk the tumour but the cancer reoccurred in a more aggressive form.

Her condition deteriorated in recent weeks, leaving her eventually unable to speak or walk and paralysed down the right hand side of her body. Charlotte, from Brighton, regularly posted updates on her progress online.

Last year she starred in a 70 second film for cancer charity CLIC Sargent illustrating the highs and lows of her life as a teenager battling cancer. Charlotte’s brother Miles also paid tribute to his sister on the final blog, saying: “It was Charlotte's goal in life to help others. She educated secondary school pupils about cancer and volunteered her time tirelessly as a real, honest and uniquely interpersonal vlogger.” The family have said they will keep the vlog open in tribute to the teenager.
