PROMOTION fever has gripped the county with just three days to go until the big game.

Albion fans across Sussex have hung flags from windows, dressed up their dogs in full kit and MPs have even donned club colours in Parliament.

Seagulls supporters in Hangleton Road, Hove, showed their support by installing a giant, illuminated sign on the front of their home.

Complete with the hashtag BHAFC and showing off the club's crest, it was set up with the help of lighting company justoccasionally.co.uk.

The display drew much attention over the Bank Holiday weekend, with bus passengers taking videos of the lights as they went by.

Brighton Wheel was also lit up blue and white ahead of the Albion's trip to Middlesbrough on Saturday.

The club yesterday released an extra 2,000 tickets for the live beam back of Saturday's crunch match at The Amex following overwhelming demand.

At the time of going to press there were still tickets available at £2 for adults and £1 for under 18s.

One long-time fan, who is making the journey to Teeside, has dressed up his dog for the big day.

Lee Virgo named his four-year-old dog Buckley after former winger Will Buckley.

Lee, 47, has also festooned his house in Colvill Avenue, Shoreham, with decorations ahead of making the journey to Middlesbrough with his son.

A fan since 1974, he said: "It's been a great season. We are some of the lucky ones going up there.

"Normally I shout off about how we are going to do it but I have been taking each game as it comes this time and it's worked so far.

"I am quietly confident we can do something Saturday."

Buckley's fifth birthday comes days after the promotion decider and Lee said it would make the perfect present.

Two more loyal fans, Janet Weller and her grandson Connor Weller-Banks, from Woodingdean, are also off to Middlesbrough.

Janet, a fan since the 1950s, had ribbons and balloons in the windows of her home.

Tony Hampton, a fan of 40 years, went to his first game at the Goldstone Ground when he was 13. He was flying his Albion flag at home in Petworth.

Meanwhile, Hove MP Peter Kyle hung a banner from his Church Road shopfront with his Conservative counterpart in Brighton Kemptown, Simon Kirby, sporting a blue and white tie in Parliament.

Mr Kirby, a season ticket-holder, said: "Promotion to the Premier League will be a great thing for Brighton, boosting the city’s economy and attracting even more visitors and investors to our fabulous city where the sun really does shine."
