A DRIVER has been arrested after allegedly ramming two police cars and running off.
Daniel Stephen Jones, of Langney Road, Eastbourne, was arrested following the incident in the town on Wednesday.
Jones, 29, is accused of driving off at speed from an unmarked police vehicle in Cavendish Place at 12.40pm.
He then allegedly reversed back and hit that vehicle.
As a marked police vehicle approached, he then reportedly reversed and drove towards that vehicle colliding with its bumper.
He left the vehicle ran off but was arrested.
Jones was charged with driving a motor vehicle dangerously, driving a motor vehicle without a licence and using a motor vehicle without insurance.
He has been bailed and will appear next at Hastings Magistrates' Court.
A Sussex Police spokeswoman said an officer suffered a minor injury to his leg during the incident.
