DRAMATIC drone footage shows the site where a labyrinth is being carved into the Sussex countryside.

This weekend sees the start of the first Alfriston Labyrinth Festival.

Drone footage shot by village resident Russ Uridge shows where the maze has been carved into the grass between St Andrew's Church and the Tye.

The week-long festival will also feature talks, workshops and exhibitions - including Harry Potter illustrator Cliff Wright, scultotor to the Queen Lorne Mckean, and bonfire effigy creator Keith Pettit.
