GREEN-fingered children beamed with delight as they opened a new garden at their school.
The youngsters have been looking after the plants at Peacehaven Heights Primary School, in Hoddern Avenue, Peacehaven.
The plot was made possible thanks to compost, plants and pebbles donated by Tates of Sussex's Paradise Park Garden Centre in Avis Road, Newhaven.
Heidi Cross, from the school, said: "We'd like to thank the garden centre for its generosity."
The plants have flourished under the children's care, with several now in full bloom.
Family business Tates of Sussex supports many local schools and groups, often through its partnership with the local Lions clubs.
