AN investigation has been launched after a derelict building was set on fire.
Fire crews were called to South Street in Lancing after flames were seen coming from a three storey building.
Firefighters from Shoreham, Worthing, Storrington and Hove were sent to the building which used to be home to The Mobility Centre and The Railway Station Cafeteria.
It had previously been the Luxor Cinema.
They discovered the blaze was on the ground floor at 10.14 on Monday.
Firefighters put out the blaze and an initial investigation has taken place after the building was ventilated.
A West Sussex Fire and Rescue Service spokeswoman said the fire had been started deliberately.
